The central train station of Utrecht is renovating and it will be finished in 2013. During the renovation works travellers have to be informed about the process of change during the works. Totems designed diverse informative modular units that can be placed randomly in space. The units have a clear and accessible character. And it’s also a place to have a pause, sit and rest in the middle of the hectic station.

Building with Nature
From 14 June to 14 September 2008, the Netherlands was represented with its own pavilion at the EXPO Zaragoza 2008 in Spain. The central focus of the pavilion was the country’s ever-present resource, water. We framed a piece of a polder landscape and used it as the pavilion’s main spatial feature. We presented it as an abstract form and let it function as a podium for the multimedia experience. After entering the pavilion visitors were led through different thematic presentations, up to the entrance of the projection room.
