Working Time is Living Time
Huge installations for Koelnmesse at the Orgatec 2010. An amazing project with daring materials and a stunning wow-feature for the fair.

The five installations – gigantic words – formed the sentence WORKING TIME IS LIVING TIME, the claim of the 2010 Orgatec. Each word materialized in a different way, expressing the word character. Tens of thousands of pens, post-its, ordners. From the first drafts, the go ahead by the client, through the extensive development and testing down to the assembling and enormous hand-mounting job - the whole project took a lot of heart and courage by all parties involved. Pushing the boundaries in communication design.

Simona

K 2010

Category: Exhibitions
Year: 2010
Location: Düsseldorf, Germany

SIMONA is a manufacturer of thermoplastic products.

The K 2010 stand design was based on ‘SIMONA City’, a fictive and communicative city of the company. The ultimate SIMONA City was made out of the brand itself so we built a stand architecture with the brand name letters.

SIMONA City was like a real life brochure with all the current news ‘printed’ onto the letters. The visitors could stroll around and discover SIMONA City out of their perspective. Along the way they found different topics and zones where they could dive in. An augmented reality area showed in a very clear and easy way the fields and uses of SIMONA products. A huge chandelier made out of SIMONA material was at the center of the booth. This patterned element let the booth glow from inside, it created an atmospheric light and an ornamental shade.

Cologne 2001

Category: Exhibitions
Year: 2001
Location: Cologne, Germany

An iconic, sculptural 400 m2 stand at the 2001 Kind + Jugend fair in Cologne, this was an ultimate statement of softness and utterly tactile, for the producer of clothing and accessoires for very young children. Oversized blossom sculptures made of white foam – thousands of them; handmounted by our creative team to a fabric screen. The screens of knitted blossoms functioned as a large illuminated facade. Its changing colour shades drew the visitor’s near.

Inside – organized, clear and a place of security. Loved by all.
