The concept of the Cyprus pavilion at the World Expo 2010 Shanghai is based on the House of Aphrodite. Following Greek mythology, Aphrodite is the Goddess of love and beauty. She was born in the waves off the coast of Cyprus. Totems played with this metaphor and designed the pavilion as Aphrodite's house, built on a Cyprus hill, with a terrific view over a horizon pool. The pavilion tells the story about Cyprus, about the past, present and future.
